What does it mean to you to be coming from a place of integrity?
The dictionary defines it as “being honest, having strong moral principals, being kind. Doing the right thing.
I think that is wonderful, and good. But, we are really, just cruising along in life, going by what we were taught, and by what we know (or, at least, what we think we know).
Sometimes, those things change. Our beliefs change. Our values do. We become different people. I think the more our spirit comes back to nestle in our bodies, and, the more light we have inside us, help to change what we consider to be the right thing, at the right time.
Integrity.
Is it what you say? Is it what you do? Is it what you think?
Can you close your eyes, and remember when you changed direction, when your integrity caught up with you? Either it was something you were about to say to someone, or a decision, based on a belief that perhaps you suspect is untrue?
Or, perhaps it was true for you at the time, but it changed.
Life gives you plenty of opportunities to bring your integrity into present time.
Changing that status, is never wasted time.
I study, and teach Ascension, which looks at the light of the Supreme Being as rays of light. They are separated, like a rainbow, into 7 basic ones. They do correspond with, and feed into, the chakra system, but they are much more. They are ways of being, and they are like a ladder, of bringing more light into your space, and growing, and evolving.
Our job here is to grow, evolve, lighten up, and work our Karma until past the “tipping point”. Think of the scales, in Egyptian mythology. One's heart was kept within the body during mummification so that it can travel with the deceased into the afterlife. Upon death, one entered the underworld (Duat), where Anubis, the God of the dead, weighed the persons heart on a scale against the feather of Ma'at, the goddess of order, truth, and righteousness.
Back to the study of the 7 Ascension Rays. The first three rays are the embodiment of Love, Wisdom, and Power.
Power is the first Ray. It is Blue in color, and correlates to your 5th Chakra, your throat. The teachers here are Master El Morya, and Archangel Michael, and Archaia Faith.
What comes out of your mouth is your power. This is why your integrity, in word, and in action, is so important. You create with this energy of power, and it is contained within you.
The old word we may remember as a child, playing magician, is,
“ABRACADABRA”.
This is actually taken from old Aramaic (the language that Jesus spoke). It is “Abraq Ad Habra”. It means, “As I speak, so shall I create”.
And, being in integrity, and in right relationship, is a power you can rely on. You are in your power.
Yes, it is true. And, many times, once we speak, we cannot take it back; the milk has been spilled.
Keeping your word. Owning your mistakes. Speaking your truth.
Speaking that truth, even if your voice shakes.
This Ray also has to do with will, as in your will to create.
An important part of this, is “my will vs. Thy will”.
Those who believe in a higher power will attest to this.
Those who simply believe in source, will too.
The universe has its will also!
It is good to let go of the reigns sometimes.
Your will may usually have to do with your ego, and be in a place of effort sometimes.
But your integrity is not in that place. Your belief file folder in your mind, may want you to think that. But you and I know, that our beliefs change. Of course, the basic ones of don’t hurt others, and be honest, and be kind, never do. I think that as we grow, and evolve, the place of our integrity does, too.
Being true to our word. Not gossiping, or slandering.
Being kind to ourselves. Speaking kindly to ourselves.
Being honest, yet being kind.
Catching yourself on the snags of ego. Perhaps not saying anything, until you have something of value to say. Not telling lies.
Doing the right thing. Being accountable for what you do, what you didn't do, and for the mistakes you have made. Even with children, animals, the earth.
Many times, I need to check in with myself here, and ask myself,
“What is the right thing here?”
Perhaps it is doing the right thing, with the information that you have.
Perhaps tomorrow, the right thing will be a bit different.
Integrity is being accountable, for the thing you didn’t do, or what you did not say. You held back, and it changed everything.
And oh, how we need to forgive ourselves daily! I think, once we can do that, it will be easier to forgive others, who were speaking from unconsciousness, badmouthing others, lying, because it is easier.
Pissing their power away (excuse my French, but it works in this instance).
The words you speak become the house you live in.
Your words have so much power!
you use your words to bless, and to curse, both others, and yourself.
Maybe a good definition of integrity, is
“Doing your best with what you know at the time, and listening to your inner wisdom”.
And, forgiving yourself, for what you did not know, and trying to be better the next day.
And the next.
And the next.
Have you ever said to someone, “I’m sorry, I said this thing to you, but I didn’t know the truth”.
Has anyone ever said that to you?
Speaking your truth has so much power. It fills your space. It makes you strong, and resilient.
Trustworthy. Courageous. Powerful.
And, to go up the ladder of the Ascension Rays, you need the basics, of love, wisdom, and power.
This is the key that gets you in the door.
