She just wanted me to come, and speak about what it is that I do, and how it heals the earth.
The phrase, "You may be Psychic, not crazy", is coined from the Berkeley Psychic Institute's founder Lewis Bostwick, and it makes sense for those sensitive intuitives who need a Hello, or acknowledgement, that what they are seeing is real, and it's ok, they are not crazy. Being very sensitive to other's energy and emotions, and knowing what's yours, and what's not, may make all the difference, in their world.
I already know that about myself, but it is a perfect title for the story I'm about to tell.
The whole experience was wonderful, starting with perfect parking in crazy Berkeley, right next to the campus. The building I went into was an old Gothic building, a Christian Science Organization, in affiliation with UCB. It was built in 1933, and has those super tall, carved ceilings, and gigantic windows with diamond stained glass patterns. As I walked into the room, while the students were coming in, and sitting down, I noticed about 4 or 5 beings (probably builders, or Christians, or early faculty members from the 30’s or 40’s) who lived there, permanently. I could see them up in the corners of the room. They were all male, and seemed to be in “good spirits”. I said Hello! And asked if it was ok, to have a shamanism, and lightwork session here. They were amused by the whole thing, and agreed, and stayed off to the side.
The women who met me said hi, and immediately mentioned that they feel a presence there.
There was a packed room, of students, who all seemed friendly, and interested, and settled in.
First they did a gratitude talk, and a meditation about being in the present moment. Then there were some slides, showing a short Ted Talk about the maker of the movie “Crazywise”, a film about a different way of looking at mental illness, from a energy, or shamanic point of view, instead of a pharmaceutical one. The co-creators of the class then had them answer a few questions about what they thought crazy means, what they think society thinks crazy means, and if they themselves had ever experienced anything like that. The answers weren’t to be shared, just to make them (us) think.
Then they showed a short 3 minute talk from a speaker in the film, and guess who it was… Sandra Ingerman!
So here is my teacher, in her beautiful deep blue sweater, talking about a shamanic point of view, on the screen, and then it was my turn to go. Talk about holding space for me!
And the talk was a breeze. They loved it! I told them about my psychic training, and work, and my shamanic training and work. I showed them how to give (and receive) a spirit-to-spirit hello, how to ground, and how to be in the center of their head, and in their body. (That was fun!) Then I had them sink into their hearts, and feel that, and also the heartbeat of the earth. I talked a bit about Ascension work, and showed them their higher heart, and explained about the 3 basics…love, wisdom, and power, and how to come from that, and show up as that.
Then I said the basics of shamanism, and talked about Sandra’s work, including radiating, and transfiguring. We talked about Masaru Emoto’s work, on thought forms, and emotions and water, and how it is affected by it. I gave them all the links to see the results of the water, and the cheerios, and tacos, and her courses, and classes, and books.
We did some radiating, and healed ourselves, and the planet, by being, not sending.
I showed them how to create sacred space, by decree, instead of petition, and we set a nice lime green bubble, the size of the room, and grounded it, to hold us during class, (we set it at a bright color) which we would deflate, and destroy at the end. This is something that I do, and I find it works quite well, to delineate space.
(The Christian guys up in the corner were very amused by this!)
I told them about the work that I do, the psychic readings, and healings, the labyrinths, and compassionate depossessions, and soul retrievals, and they had so many questions. Some people cried, and released energy and pain. Many stayed after class was over, and we talked and shared many stories.
I only had a short time to talk about labyrinths, but I gave some history, showed them different types, and told them about seed patterns, and how to make them. Most importantly, I showed them how, when your foot touches the earth, when walking slowly through one, that it is like a moving prayer, that connects you to source, and also heals the earth.
The guys up in the corners of the room liked that.
The sweet part, was, as I was getting in my truck to drive home, I smelled a distinctive scent…one of my favorite flowers, a lilac. I just smelled it for a moment, enjoyed it, and then looked around. Nothing but truck, and campus sidewalks, on a warm evening.
then I saw one of the beings from the building. Such a gentleman. He wanted to say thank you, and hand me a flower.
The class that these women are creating there is awesome, and is actually open to the public, even though it is a credited UC course. I was happy to be a part of it, and I thank all my shaman friends for holding space for me while I spoke to a full class. I appreciated the support.
Now, I won’t be so nervous about speaking to a larger group.
Gentle Blessings,
