Hello co-creators! This month’s newsletter is about gratitude!
That makes sense, being so close to Thanksgiving, a time to focus on your
blessings with friends and family. It’s also very hard sometimes when things
don’t seem to be bursting with abundance, or you don’t feel appreciated, or
money, or love, seems scarce, or when health issues demand that you pay
attention. How can you stay in gratitude when you’re in pain? When your
significant other is angry at you, or leaving you, or nonexistent, or dying? Do
you think other people have more, and you feel left out or not enough? Are you
listening to the endless tape loop of “what’s wrong” in your mind (which is
starting to feel like a prison?)
Remember,that you are a spirit. You are a spirit that has a body.
You are pure spirit,
and most of the small stuff is just that, small. Your spirit is eternal, full of
love and light, magical, amazing.
Sometimes your mind goes into overdrive,
and competition, or matches a lower vibration. Sometimes your body goes into
effort, or pain or boredom. So how do we get back in touch with that juicy flow
of alignment with spirit, into appreciation, and gratitude, and source, and
being a state of abundance?
Here are a few things that have worked for me:
Slowing down and focusing on the small joys and miracles.
Did I say slowing down?
(Count slowly to 20 here, and only think about your favorite animal, and what
you like about it. Mine’s a river otter!).Sweet! Now you have the picture!
Flow appreciation energy to the random things in your life. It helps to get into
the flow, into that vast river of gratitude and abundance. Appreciation is
different from gratitude, in that it isn’t a response to something you
received, either as a gift, or an act of kindness. You appreciate the
delightful song of a bird, the smell of something delicious baking, a beautiful
piece of art, or music. It has only to do with its own being, not with
deliberate action or exchange. When you start small, and slow down, and then
rev up with gratitude, you open up to the miracles of life, of nature, of
humankind, of your own life, and the macrocosm around you. Spirit lives and
thrives in this environment, miracles sprout up and out. But it is a place to
just be, to become. Become appreciation, become gratitude. Practice it every
day, and you will notice things that were invisible to you earlier. Practice it
until it becomes a habit, until it becomes your normal, your constant. Your
body, mind and spirit will love you for it, and will respond with miracles, and
joy, and healing. Practice sending it out into the world, this loving gratitude
laser beam of yours, and you will not only heal the planet, but your
consciousness will change, your mood will lighten, your body will relax, your
spirit will perk up, and go and see who’s there. Your reality will start to
reflect this change, this energy flow. After all, it’s just energy, and every
moment of every day you get to choose your response to things, and
your reality
will respond in kind.
As you deliberately look for things to appreciate, praise, or enjoy, you achieve
vibrational harmony with your own source, and with all that is good. And then,
the powerful Law of attraction brings more good things to you.
