I do believe that some of us are more predisposed to sharing their space with another, and for others, it was an event, or series of events, that could've caused the situation. Not all beings that are occupying someones space are permanent, or even evil. It could be a loved one who hasn't crossed over, or a nasty being that was in a lover, or even a disgruntled employee.
Some beings are not human, some don't have a story, or even feelings. In case history, elementals and E.T.’s have also been found to be attached to a living person. For example, an elemental may attach to a living person who has taken a piece of nature without asking permission. E.T.’s have been known to attach to a person in order to spy on the human experience.
I am lucky to have had much training in protections, courage, and compassion. Oh, yes, and the ability to delegate. And ask for help. That is tantamount.
Patience is so very important, also. There are a few clients who come for readings, and I can see the being on the side of their head, or nodding at me. I can see how they are affected.
I have been trained in compassionate depossession, with much gratitude to Betsy Bergstrom, (and before her, William J. Baldwin, and Louise Ireland Frey, and their incredible books, stories, techniques). The Berkeley Psychic Institute gave me massive amounts of training on protections, techniques, and tools also.
It was Betsy's training, that installed the importance of compassion, and heart. In her training, in the use of psychopomps, healing guides, and angels, we refer to the being as a "suffering soul", and not as a stuck entity. Therein lies a world of difference.
We are all storytellers. We all have a story. We all need to be heard, and to feel heard.
"The authentic person tells his story because the telling of it is an act of healing. As he tells it, he comes to a more profound insight into and acceptance of what happened. He embraces his experience more fully. He deepens his compassion for himself and others. As he tells his story, he heals, and so others heal with him. The moment he has integrated his experience, he no longer needs to tell his story."
From the book, “Silence of the heart”.
The act of telling ones story, the telling of it, is healing. When someone is actively listening to that person, without judgment, in a safe space, that is so moving, and powerful, that both are changed.
This is true for children, for adults, and also for spirits who don’t have their bodies anymore. And while there are many types of beings, and entities, who can either invade, or parasite, or just get lost in another persons energetic field, those who have a consciousness are also profoundly affected by this respectful listening to their story.
This is how I do compassionate depossession, in my practice.
It changes things. For all spirits, even those without bodies. Sometimes we can forget the initial event, or initial wounding, and it begins to develop it’s own story. Telling one's story gets us in touch with the initial wound, or trauma, or reason.
"The moment he has integrated his experience, he no longer needs to tell his story".
There is space for healing to occur. And in that space, is choice. And even in some very dark energies, explaining the fact of it's own sovereignty, and that there is light in it's heart, and that it does have a choice, including the choice of going to a place of learning.
Many beings who have stayed behind, could be addicted to a substance, or attached to something, or could be afraid of the concept of hell. They may believe that they are not worthy of going to their next step. Some don't know there are loved ones waiting for them.
Some were put there, not of their own will. Some are not human.
It is a truly remarkable, sacred, and awe-some sight, to witness these beings being heard.
Of course, having created a very safe, protected, and sacred space beforehand, is a must. To make sure the "host" is feeling safe, and whole, and on the same page, is too.
I have seen some tell their story, and be heard, and accept some healing, and prepare to leave, smoothy. Others need more coaxing, and again, some, have come in with others, and it is a group effort. Some won't leave on the first try, and some are very nasty, and full of threats, rage, even trickery.
But most do go. And there is that moment, where they are heard, their story is told, and listened to, and acknowledged. Not judged. (Do you see where the compassion is tantamount?). And things start moving. It is truly a sacred moment.
I haven't even begun to describe how the client is doing, and what he/she is feeling. But that will be for another blog post.
I have been writing so much on this subject, that I may make a book out of it, but for now, be patient, be loving toward yourself, and others, have your boundaries, keep your space clean, and use your meditation, and psychic tools. Don't be afraid to ask for help, and for protection, from your Angels, like Archangel Michael, and use the Violet flame, in addition to your regular practice. The transformational energy of love, and forgiveness, is a powerful protector as well.
Be well, be you, and go gently,
Helena
