Yes, even good change can feel like a death of sorts, even if you have been wanting this change, and hoping for it for a long time. Energy always comes up, whether it is your own fears, insecurities, or other’s thoughts and emotions, even your programming to stay the same.
I am the type that needs to be coerced into change. Once I sense that it is good, and worth it, I’m in! Or, when it just gets too painful, or irritating. When you set a ceiling or limit on things (like how much you think you deserve), and you grow, that ceiling becomes past time. And standing with your head crooked because of it, (and your crown), gets uncomfortable.
I’m working on the belief that I deserve more, that it’s ok to not hide, to be my best self, to shine, to succeed. The things I really want in my life. The pictures in my space that say I can’t have, that I don’t deserve, and the programming in my subconscious mind probably span lifetimes! Fear and doubt come up, I stop following my heart, (not just my head), and use that excuse, not to take a step.
It’s funny, when you do get past old havingness, and create for yourself something good, it means it's time to celebrate that, to love and enjoy it, and be proud. Then it is time to move on, and create something again.
The word havingness simply means the level that you allow yourself to have something, or things in general. To have an amazing, magical evening, or a new car, synchronicity in your life, helping you toward your success, or a project well done. It can mean a number in the bank account, or a project you have been working on to come to completion. Reaching past your comfort zone, creating more than you even imagined possible!
A low havingness on something, means you probably can't have it, don't feel you deserve it, and even if you did create it, it would get destroyed, or slip through your fingers. Maybe there's some depression, or fear, or pictures, or beliefs that are working against you.
The sky is not the limit, your belief system is.
Now this could include things, but what I am thinking about with your havingness here, is how much you can have in life, maybe going back to school and getting that degree, or sticking with a conversation through the stuck stuff, to get to an agreement, or a completion.
How much joy can you have in your life? How good can it get?
Embracing the unknown, getting out of your comfort zone, getting out of your own way, embracing, and using your ability to ask for help.
Being able to say no when you mean no, standing up for yourself.
Taking action, following up, showing up, being responsible.
One of the reasons I love to meditate, and “work energy”, is that I get to focus on these things, to look at them impartially, neutrally, with energetic tools, and change them, shift them, or validate what’s working. I usually do this myself, in meditation, and lift up the energy, and “set the space”, for what I want to happen. Then I forget about it, and just live my life.
I believe that things happen energetically first.
They are set in motion, and then settle into the physical world. So “how much you can have” can be processed, and worked, here, first.
Then, when we are inspired, we act. Inspired action can be to make that phone call, or to commit to a class, or an interview, or start to paint, or write, or dance, or book those tickets to Hawaii. It could mean to go through the muck to get to a better place, but hey, at least we’re inspired!
Maybe to have that awkward conversation you have been resisting, that will make someone upset, but will clear the air, as the truth comes out.
Just like the phases of the moon, there are times to wait, and times to shine, times of growth, and times of decay. The times you let go of old, times to destroy things (so important, to clear the space!) and times to make that brave, bold new move!
When you make one of those brave new moves, after working through a limiting belief, you are showing your spirit, your subconscious mind, and your world, including your friends and family, that you are making a change in your space.
You work through the shock, fear pain, and exposure (getting out of your comfort zone can be scary, like you are naked to the world!) yes, people will judge you, have opinions, etc, etc, but eventually, the new will shine through, and you will be able to have it, they’ll get over it, and start seeing you in present time.
Back to the word havingness. If you aren’t able to fully have something, or it is just beyond your range, you may destroy it after you have created it. Or, you create it, but things keep going wrong. At this point you might give up, but I say be patient. Keep going back to the drawing board, keep doing your inner work, your meditations, your affirmations, your mockups. “It’s ok for me to have this”, or “It’s safe for me to have this”. I deserve this. I am loving making this happen. I AM so proud of myself for doing this!
It can also be that you put out your intention, and then you ask for help, from you guides, teachers, angels, from source energy. You do the physical work needed, and then LET GO of the how it manifests.
Allow that part to be taken care of. Maybe you can’t see around every corner, and the universe has a better plan for you than you can conjure up!
It’s amazing, where your answers about your havingness, and your limiting beliefs can come from. Plus, we hardly ever acknowledge the wonderful abundance and joy that we have already created in our lives!
Gratitude changes everything. It is the catalyst that makes this makes this magic work, and this work seem like effortless magic!
Just a few minutes of being grateful of even the smallest things in your life, will create a domino effect of good things in your life (and your mind, your space, your thoughts, your emotions, and your health!)
I am grateful for an online course I have been taking; a shamanic journeying course, taught by Shaman and prolific author, Sandra Ingerman. It has been many months of an extraordinary, life changing, eye opening, limit busting, heart filling, brave new world for me. I didn’t think I could have it (afford it), but did some inner work, and then filled out a scholarship form offered for the course, and needless to say, I have been loving it!
We recently did a journey (deep meditation) to a place (a place of our dreams, where our everyday daydreams and dreams are, what we are creating in those daydreams), to find a limiting belief we have that stops our life flow. We then met with one of our power animals, and he was to “dismember it”, to destroy, or tear it apart to it’s essence.
I saw my limiting belief to be from my childhood; an “I don’t deserve” picture, and also an “It’s not safe to shine”, and “stay small”.
One of my power animals, jaguar, took the picture, submerged, and held it underwater, in a stream of clear, cold water. We both looked at it until the bubbles stopped coming up; until it died.
It felt so freeing, but also a little scary. Now to do the work.
And to be grateful.
And receive help and synchronicities graciously.
However you consciously create and co-create your world, remember that getting out of your comfort zone can be scary, and you may hit some fear, unconsciousness, even pain, or “destroy energy”, from some entity that does not want you to change, or to have. Yeehaw! (Acknowledge it, don’t match the energy) It is all so worth it, every step along the path. As you take these bigger steps and release old fears (by doing, and succeeding!),
YOU FEEL INCREDIBLE.
High as a kite, yet grounded in present time reality. Something that was once a dream is now manifest, and the work you did to get there was a joy to do, it was inspired effort. People are happy for you. You are so grateful.
Practice feeling this feeling.Now. Show your various selves what you want.
With your thoughts, you can begin right now.
How does it feel to have taken that next step?
What physical action do you need to do now, to start to make it happen?
Have fun creating your life from your highest havingness!
