This month’s blog is about perseverance on our goals.
We are all working on some project in our lives, and some of those life changing big plans require us to be patient, some require us to act, and act NOW! For me, it has been to get a thicker skin, to not worry so much about what others think about me.
If you want to achieve greatness, you have to stop asking for approval. Sometimes, you need to not talk about it at all, as it may diffuse the energy, you may get stuck in a victim space, or other people’s judgments, may get in the way. Sometimes, talking about it at length, with lots of different people really does help, and you may get ideas, or even support, that you didn’t have before.
Remember, what you focus on grows.
Don’t just complain to people about what’s not working. Don’t just complain in your head either! Watch your thoughts. Practice seeing it working. Practice seeing answers, practice being your success. Your word is your law in your universe!

I have let go of people, and situations that are negative, depressing, or just are dead ends. Sometimes there is sadness in realizing that the place where you were, is just not working; in fact, it is keeping you stuck. Accept, forgive, and create something better. Move on.
I am learning how to toughen up. To speak my truth, even if my voice shakes. To be authentic. I am aware that at times, what I need is to recognize that I am angry. To stay with it, for a moment, and not just try to change it, or wash it away with good intentions, if it is uncomfortable. I am learning to make mistakes, in my process, and be ok with it, and continue on.
Taking small chances, and risks every day, is huge. Some days might be about pushing forward in action. Some days are more yin, more receptive, and are about going within, and finding blocks, or healing, or getting quiet answers.
You may be learning to fight for what you believe in, sometimes losing a battle, to win the war. The battle could be someone you know, the thing itself, or your own limiting beliefs! Staying strong for something you believe in, that may take time does take some skills, and sometimes the end result isn’t exactly how you had expected, and sometimes that is ok.
Stop with the self-pity, and the victim. Taking steps everyday will help so much with that, and so will loving, positive self-talk.
Your life is not about feeling sorry for yourself. It is about acceptance of where you are, forgiveness, and moving on.
And moving on requires action. Inspired action. Sometimes with a plan, sometimes not.
Ask yourself: why do I want what I want? What is underneath that?
Ask yourself: can I have it? Does something need to change? What?
Ask yourself…what if?
You are not alone. We are all in some stage of waking up, and making the changes we need to grow, and dealing with the changes that appear before us. Daily. It does absolutely help to be around positive supportive people, and to support others in their process, too.
If you just talk with another person, a friend, or likeminded person, and just started talking about your project, and how you are going to get there, the steps to get there, things will start coming up, and you will start creating a route. Let the path come out of your mouth, let it be a route in that direction! Now you are creating!
And what will you do with the naysayers? The victim energy?
What feels like that big wall in front of you?
The road ahead will never be completely smooth; there will be some dead ends, some changes, and some energy to work through. Always. That is why working through the energy is so important. It really helps to be neutral to some of the energy that will be in between you and your goal. And being neutral to the energy, is a tool in itself! A powerful, important, permanent tool, which you will have, to build upon your next project!
So take a nice deep breath in, and exhale, and relax.
And perhaps another deep breath, and see your goal in your minds eye. See yourself already having it, or being it, and just for a moment, become it.
Nice, huh! Now stay in that relaxed state, and think of 3 things that you can do, today, that will get you closer to your goal. Make a concrete pathway. What’s the hardest step you’ll need to take? Why? What are you putting off? Why? How can you work through this energy? What do you need? Help? Support? To just do it anyway, and feel all that, whether it is fear, uncomfortableness, uncertainty?
Can you breathe into that right now?
Yes!
Go back to the feeling of it already being accomplished, and you having more experience. From that strong, space of your strong spirit, breathe into the experience of the difficult thing. Watch yourself doing it, in your minds eye. In neutrality, just watch the action, watch your body doing it. Breathe into yourself. See it as already a done deal. Breathe, and exhale. See it as accomplished, and done. Pat yourself on the back! For a moment, be the person who already did it. Good job!
You may have learned something through this, too! Maybe something to remember, or that it was not as bad as you are projecting, or something you need to do first. It is as if you have blessed yourself with good energy, as if someone has your back. It is you.
Ok, now, you can take action, inspired action, on those things today. One step at a time, with the qualities of being there.
