In this past decade, for me, I have purchased a home with my partner, I have started a career, I have been writing, creating, growing gardens, and pruning trees. I have hit many layers of energy, and old belief patterns, that would’ve had me stay small.
Some things I could not do myself, and that teaming up, and sharing, has changed me immensely, in ways I wouldn’t have grown otherwise.
I have taught classes, taken classes, taken teacher trainings. I have done hundreds and hundreds of healing sessions, and thousands of readings, and (have strived to) learn from each and every one.
I have sat with my shadow self, to know, and understand, and just be. I have both been not afraid of the darkness, and yet, very afraid.
Quite a few relationships have come under scrutiny, as I have changed, and grown, and become.
Some have made it through my changes, (fantastically!) and some have not. And, while some of it has made me grieve, made me sad for what once was, I stand firm in present time, as waves of change roll over me, like standing chest deep in warm ocean waters. You learn to either jump up, or dive deep down, when the waves come.
And I look at what I am about to create, what new chapter, now. How am I reinventing myself?
I can sense from my clients throughout the years, the waves of change, and doubt, and fear, and doing it anyway, and cleaning up their (our) act, that these things have a distinct pattern, in our lives, and also, as a collective.
For example. I see how a certain sense of unrest, of uncomfortableness comes before a change. The work begins, to change, to examine the old beliefs and patterns, of blaming others, and then, finally, looking within, to why the pattern has been occurring.
There always is a bigger picture, a gentle (or not so gentle) nudging to be greater than oneself.
Yes, of course, it is about our dreams, and what we want to create in our lives. We have that urge, the daydreaming, the not happy with what is. there is the trying, the talking, the practicing, and the asking for help.
The baby steps, the looking for a guarantee, the not feeling good enough. The making of mistakes, the mea culpas.
A choice is offered.
Then, there is the plunge.
What I have learned from this decade, in myself, my friends, family, and my clients, is that there is a larger pattern to our changes, like the pattern on a fabric, or a fractal in nature. And, our changes, happen in a pattern, even though it didn’t seem that way when we were in them. We were too close.
Backing up, and asking for help, and looking at it from a larger context, helps everything make sense.
"Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion." ~ Rumi
Perhaps, your next step involves being a part of a team, and not just always doing it yourself!
That is why meditation, that is why getting a reading, that is why working with your helping spirits, and guides makes such a profound difference.
Most people do what they do, because they have a passion, a love, a need, to be of service, to help others. To give, and be a part of something. That drive, is what creates, and that drive is in itself magic.
All the rest is just gathering materials, experience, and nerve.
“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.
Your heart knows the way. Run in that direction." ~Rumi
Can you think of a time in your life, where you just knew, that you had to do something, had to go in a direction, had to make some big change? And that you may have to go beyond the loving but fearful loved ones, or the naysayers, or the nonbelievers?
You just had the knowingness, and the passion in your heart, and you just did it anyway?
That is what this article is about.
“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” ~Rumi
You have the tools.
You did the work on yourself.
You made the needed mistakes.
You talked with all aspects of yourself.
You went through the painful energetic separations, of what once was.
All of it.
That is what this last decade was about.
Now it is time to get started with your dream.
The new one, for the new year. The one you have already done all this work on yourself for.
You have the tools.
of course you can always ask for help, in this reinventing of yourself, but it is you that must do it, no one can do it for you.
And, never mind what they think. they will change their picture of you (eventually).
The question remains: should you tell people about it? Do you need to keep it to yourself for a while, as it grows roots, and develops a foundation?
Or, do you need the support of others, to begin?
There are good aspects of both, but sometimes talking about it to others, before doing it dissipates the energy.
And, sometimes, it makes it seem more real.
That part is up to you.
"Sometimes, there is just no one to talk to, and you must just set out on your own" ~ Rumi
Once you decide, once you are 100 percent, everything you need will start to come. Synchronicity happens.
Just remember the larger pattern, that you are in. And that you have your guides, and helpers.
That your passion involves helping others, and truly being of service.
You are a magnet to it, as it's been in you, a part of you, all along.
You have the tools, for this new year, and new decade.
"What you seek, is also seeking you" ~Rumi
I honor your choice in how you go about it, and grateful to be of service, if I can, in what I do.
The world needs you.
Enjoy this turning of the wheel, into a new decade, and pat yourself on the back for all the work you have already done to get here, to this point.
