We’re all leaving behind a decade of experience, and growth, and preparing.

In this past decade, for me, I have purchased a home with my partner, I have started a career, I have been writing, creating, growing gardens, and pruning trees. I have hit many layers of energy, and old belief patterns, that would’ve had me stay small.

Some things I could not do myself, and that teaming up, and sharing, has changed me immensely, in ways I wouldn’t have grown otherwise.
I have taught classes, taken classes, taken teacher trainings. I have done hundreds and hundreds of healing sessions, and thousands of readings, and (have strived to) learn from each and every one.
I have sat with my shadow self, to know, and understand, and just be. I have both been not afraid of the darkness, and yet, very afraid.

Quite a few relationships have come under scrutiny, as I have changed, and grown, and become.
Some have made it through my changes, (fantastically!) and some have not. And, while some of it has made me grieve, made me sad for what once was, I stand firm in present time, as waves of change roll over me, like standing chest deep in warm ocean waters. You learn to either jump up, or dive deep down, when the waves come.

And I look at what I am about to create, what new chapter, now. How am I reinventing myself?
I can sense from my clients throughout the years, the waves of change, and doubt, and fear, and doing it anyway, and cleaning up their (our) act, that these things have a distinct pattern, in our lives, and also, as a collective.

For example. I see how a certain sense of unrest, of uncomfortableness comes before a change. The work begins, to change, to examine the old beliefs and patterns, of blaming others, and then, finally, looking within, to why the pattern has been occurring.
There always is a bigger picture, a gentle (or not so gentle) nudging to be greater than oneself.

Yes, of course, it is about our dreams, and what we want to create in our lives. We have that urge, the daydreaming, the not happy with what is. there is the trying, the talking, the practicing, and the asking for help.
The baby steps, the looking for a guarantee, the not feeling good enough. The making of mistakes, the mea culpas.
A choice is offered.

Then, there is the plunge.

What I have learned from this decade, in myself, my friends, family, and my clients, is that there is a larger pattern to our changes, like the pattern on a fabric, or a fractal in nature. And, our changes, happen in a pattern, even though it didn’t seem that way when we were in them.  We were too close.

Backing up, and asking for help, and looking at it from a larger context, helps everything make sense.

"Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion." ~ Rumi

Perhaps, your next step involves being a part of a team, and not just always doing it yourself!

That is why meditation, that is why getting a reading, that is why working with your helping spirits, and guides makes such a profound difference.

Most people do what they do, because they have a passion, a love, a need, to be of service, to help others. To give, and be a part of something. That drive, is what creates, and that drive is in itself magic.
All the rest is just gathering materials, experience, and nerve.

“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.
Your heart knows the way. Run in that direction." ~Rumi

Can you think of a time in your life, where you just knew, that you had to do something, had to go in a direction, had to make some big change? And that you may have to go beyond the loving but fearful loved ones, or the naysayers, or the nonbelievers?
You just had the knowingness, and the passion in your heart, and you just did it anyway?

That is what this article is about.

“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” ~Rumi

You have the tools.
You did the work on yourself.
You made the needed mistakes.
You talked with all aspects of yourself.
You went through the painful energetic separations, of what once was.
All of it.
That is what this last decade was about.
Now it is time to get started with your dream.
The new one, for the new year. The one you have already done all this work on yourself for.

You have the tools.

of course you can always ask for help, in this reinventing of yourself, but it is you that must do it, no one can do it for you.
And, never mind what they think. they will change their picture of you (eventually).
The question remains: should you tell people about it? Do you need to keep it to yourself for a while, as it grows roots, and develops a foundation?
Or, do you need the support of others, to begin?
There are good aspects of both, but sometimes talking about it to others, before doing it dissipates the energy.
And, sometimes, it makes it seem more real.
That part is up to you.

"Sometimes, there is just no one to talk to, and you must just set out on your own"  ~  Rumi

Once you decide, once you are 100 percent, everything you need will start to come. Synchronicity happens.
Just remember the larger pattern, that you are in. And that you have your guides, and helpers.
That your passion involves helping others, and truly being of service.
You are a magnet to it, as it's been in you, a part of you, all along.

You have the tools, for this new year, and new decade.

"What you seek, is also seeking you"
~Rumi

I honor your choice in how you go about it, and grateful to be of service, if I can, in what I do.
The world needs you.

Enjoy this turning of the wheel, into a new decade, and pat yourself on the back for all the work you have already done to get here, to this point.

Hello!

 * Jalal al-Din Rumi was a 13th-century (born in Afghanistan) Persian poet, jurist, Islamic scholar and theologian. His poetry, and quotes are based upon love, hope, inspiration, and awakening. May these quotes open up your heart and mind to the beauty that lies within you.

Labyrinth of Change

A few times in our lives we have to re-invent ourselves. Maybe more than a few. This post is about that. And, as always, there is a spirit tool here for you to use.
Of course we have the huge ones, perhaps a loss of a loved one or partner, or a home. Perhaps changes in our bodies, from illness, to menopause (or andropause), or simply in the clumsy grace of aging. We make huge changes when our career or focus changes. Those with children, see such changes happen quickly! Perhaps deciding a relationship, even a friendship doesn’t work anymore. A huge lifestyle change.
It could be a spiritual shift, also. Your energy perhaps has just changed so much (imperceptible at first), that the past just doesn’t fit anymore.
Many have happened to me, and are happening. In my practice, I read, and do healing work at just that exact place…the meeting between body and spirit. Sometimes it is just a simple hello, or acknowledgement, a bringing to awareness, or consciousness, as to what’s going on.
That’s when the magic happens.
Usually, when you do the energy work first, the rest, the physical, even the mental, and emotional, fall into place.
And what a nice place to be. To have everything working together.
Because change, is a constant.
And resistance is futile.

We just recently had our first event at the labyrinth at Robert Sibley Park, in the East Bay hills of Northern California, where I built a rock labyrinth in an old quarry, many years ago. I’m grateful that it’s still there, and a smattering of people make the trek down the hill every single day, to use it.
The East Bay Regional Park has “grandfathered it in" to the park, even though there are a few others, perhaps because it is the oldest, or the most used, and I am grateful for that, as it is a sanctuary. It is a place to get answers, to meditate, to enjoy nature in peace, and to celebrate the spirit of the land.

And every year, it gets destroyed.
There is a small, vernal pond, right next to it, which houses loud mating chorus frogs, and California newts, small snakes looking for a snack, and many animals who drink from it. It smells of the Pennyroyal, the Chamomile growing around it, and sometimes, of the rich mud surrounding it.
Every year, every winter, it rains, and all the rain from the quarry accumulates right there, and the labyrinth gets submerged, especially the top half. The carefully placed stones sink into the rich mud, and are no more. The pathways on the top half end up as tracts of water, after everything subsides, and those chorus frogs lay their eggs in it. As the sun dries those pathways, the froglets are jumping out to live their new lives.
And the labyrinth needs to get rebuilt. New stones placed, to keep the paths defined, and healthy.
How wonderful. It reinvents itself, every year, with the help of people like me, and you, and those who care for the magic of the place.
There are, literally, 30 years worth of sunken rocks, which makes it a long, three dimensional, structure, going down into the depths of the quarry, carrying with it, some of the magic of the center. It grounds the spot into the earth, right there, in that caldera of an ancient volcano. How powerful.
It is more powerful, because of that.

Back to the first story.
Sometimes your life change feels very sudden, almost a crisis, but, when you look at the energy of it, the shift had already come. A change had already been made, the energy was set up, and then the physical manifestation followed. And when we are aware of them, we can either work with those energies, to be a co creator, or, at least do the necessary work to invite the change in to our lives, even if it is a temporary one.
Some of the tools we could use are, neutrality, letting go (releasing the picture of what it should be or how life should be, grace, compassion, being present, and in our bodies (breathe, honor your body, and its limits), gratitude, acceptance, response-ability.
Humor. This tool, the tool of amusement, cannot be underestimated!

There are, also, two more ingredients to this recipe for the re-inventing of your self, and they are, Time, and the Grace of asking for help.
The part where you do the energy work is always a dance, intertwined with doing things in the physical. Perhaps your change is a good one, and involves your wonderful burst of light, and self growth in your life. You see the relationships that need to change, and do the energy work of acknowledgement, of separation, of releasing the past, or of pain, of cutting cords, and of going within, to get your answers. Perhaps to give yourself permission to change, to grow, to be different than who you were. To make peace, with your old world, from all the parts of you. Be curious, as to what else comes up. Perhaps there is deep pain there, or, perhaps you need to grieve the past, or, be heard, or acknowledged for something. Do you need to forgive? Forgive whom?
Now, with some answers for yourself, and some shifting and opening of energies, the physical world is a bit different, and it is easier to work in the world of time, and space.
So, make some changes. Even some small ones at first. Move some furniture around, get that job interview, make some calls. Do something in the new space you have found yourself in.
Take a risk.
The next big tool, is to ask for help.

That is powerful, beyond belief.
Ask for help.

From your friends, from your guides, and helping spirits, from strangers, from colleagues. From the universe.
You may not get it in exactly the way you were expecting, but most times, you get exactly what you need.

You are softened, and humbled by this act. Life happens from a different perspective.

       "Not with the eyes,
       I am looking for you,
       but with the heart,
       in this labyrinth
       we call life.

       Where are you?"

       Hafiz

Back to the story of the labyrinth...
For the past 3 or 4 years, I have co-lead a labyrinth/nature walk to the labyrinth, with Regional Park naturalist Michael Charnofsky. Many people get the tour, and learn about the rock formations, history of the park, of the history of labyrinths, and even a bit of my spirit practice thrown in for good measure… the spirits of the land, the healing energies of a labyrinth, etc. It’s always a fun day. This last time, a few people offered to help maintain, instead of me doing it by myself.

And I said yes.

Here is a map to the labyrinth:

Luckily, with the labyrinth, it’s in a quarry, and so after the rains expose more rocks, on the sides of the road leading down, and even rolling down from the steep hills surrounding it.
We just had our first “Friends of the Labyrinth” event there, in October, where we spent an afternoon, lovingly refurbishing it. We enjoyed ourselves, and ate snacks, laughed, told stories, and did a ceremony in the center. People who came down to walk the labyrinth, helped with a few rocks, and were on their way again. Some stayed for the ceremony, and are now on the “Friends of the Labyrinth” team, which will return to do the same, each season.
After all these years, it is being reinvented, as a fun event, and a ceremony, as opposed to me doing it alone, in effort.

And I wondered about all the other parts of my life which are being re-invented, instead of being stuck in a certain energy, which keeps it from growing. Which keeps me from growing.

Layers and layers of the old belief system, almost keep it hidden, and it is hard to use all these new tools, of Grace, of Humor, of compassion, of letting go, of not being so afraid of change (since we are dancing with it anyway, in the temporal world).

When will it feel safe for you to reinvent yourself in some way? What parts of you need to be dismembered, of the old structures, and patterns.
What tools do you need?
Can you do the energy work first, so the change feels welcome, and not an intrusion into what was?

What needs to be released, or accepted, or owned, or revisioned, and welcomed, before you go out into the world, to reintegrate your internal changes, and your opening up, your softening up space, to ask for help from the outside.
Do you need to slow down, in order to receive that, before
making a change, affecting a change, doing something in the outside world, now, to make it real?

I used the story of the labyrinth, because for me, asking for and getting help opened up the space for new friendships, new possibilities, a space of inviting in.
Also, the pattern of the classical labyrinth takes you through all the steps, of a chakra healing, and an inner chamber or sanctuary, to gather and use your tools, get inspiration, an answer, a healing, before going back out into the world, with your new self, your present time self, into the world of change.
What a dismemberment, and re-memberment.

Now, how do you want your day to go today? What thing will you allow to unravel, so the light can shine on it, and allow itself to be changed?

Exploring the Energy of Neutrality

10/4/2019

"What you resist, persists" ~ Carl Jung
This article is on the energy of neutrality, that spirit tool, that can free you, and give you more choice in your life.

Watching things grow, and offering nourishment, starting with the things I love. It’s so easy, it just flows out naturally. My partner, my friends, nature, my family, the earth, the land I live on. The beings who also share the land here; fairies in the yard, the spirits of the big trees, the house elf.
And of course, my cat, who is probably basking in the fall sun somewhere outside, as I write this.

My clients who are working on themselves, trying to be their best.
The squirrels who are in my yard, eyeing this same ripe figs on the tree outside, as I am!
Everything around me seems to be in some type of harmonious working order, from the workers on the house next door, the mail carrier on her route; it’s easy to send love and appreciation, in neutrality, to the world around me.

The hard part is continuing that flow of energy when what you see is hateful, ignorant, or destructive, dangerous, or just unconscious.
Sometimes, those people, or situations are not yours to fix. Or, they are not your business.
That place is what this article is about, being ok with the world not being ok. It involves backing up a bit, and loving the big picture. Being a compassionate and loving person, does not mean not feeling angry, or having no boundaries.
Sometimes, what you can do, is feel your feelings, see what you see, and allow. Become neutral to what is.
No “spiritual bypassing”. Just for a moment. And don’t try to fix it, solve it, or see the bright side of the picture.
Be with what is, just for a moment, even with the uncomfortable, or the sadness, or the rage, or the grief, in you.

That is a part of this. This being alive. Sometimes things are ugly, or messy.
your neutrality, can be an important spirit tool. It is a psychic tool that I use everyday, in my readings, in my work, in my life.

And, like learning any tool, you need to practice, everyday, to build that muscle.
Neutrality. It is the lubricant of your life. On an energy level, it unhooks you from your beliefs, and thought patterns, and can be quite freeing. Freeing from that whole “story” that your ego tells you about it, about what is.

The story. In all it’s glory.
Also, the energy in your space will flow smoother, as the opposite of neutrality is resistance, and that creates a thicker energy.
I see it as a sticky, slow energy, that tends to get tangled up in things, and that resistance, creates more of the same.
The phrase, “resistance causes persistence”, is true.

Energetically, resistance, or non neutrality slows everything down, and is like a “stop” energy. I see it clairvoyantly as a “DON'T LOOK", there are painful beliefs and memories there”.
And, it seems, that the whole “story” about it is a means to persuade you, or protect you, and probably isn’t true at all, or, is just one opinion. Is it yours, this story?
Sometimes, being aware of, or allowing some of those beliefs or painful memories can be enlightening, or, a reality check, or can allow some of that “stop” energy to dissipate.
And that, can free up a lot of life force in you!

When you remember that you are not your thoughts, but you are the awareness behind those thoughts, everything changes.

It brings clarity, and a spiritual presence. It brings you into present time. And that is a healing unto itself.

You are not your thoughts, nor your emotions, you are the awareness behind them.

You are not your beliefs, either.

One of my jobs in freeing myself, and in cleaning, and owning my own space, is to find out where I am not neutral.

I do it in every psychic reading that I do. I do it in every “clean out”, after every reading that I do.
With my awareness in my 6th, and 7th chakra (which is where I read from), I am in a place of neutrality, and of sovereignty. When I realize the tightness, and resistance of some energy, even the protection around me looking at it, that comes up for me in my reading work, well, I consider that to be a good thing. A juicy place of releasing pain (mine, or someone else’s) and getting back a lot of my life force.
Plus, I am able to read my client better, as I am clearer. I can see something in more depth, and glean better answers, once my own considerations are out of the way.

I have an energy method to de-charge that stuck energy, of exploding it. I get many answers for myself, and I am a better psychic that way. I can see clearer, for them, without all that judgement, and resistance, and the energy just flows better.
I love seeing where I am stuck, as I can now start to free myself, or at least give myself more wiggle room to be.
The energy flows better, and I have more choice. What an amazing tool, to have in your toolbox, to be able to put yourself in neutral for a bit.
You will learn a lot about yourself, when you remember that you are not your thoughts, you are not your emotions, you are not your beliefs, but you are the awareness, that is behind them.

Sometimes, while doing this disengaging work, you will be amused at your answers; that your resistance was simply a fear! Or, that your resistance was a belief that was not even yours! Or, your resistance, and your ego’s story, was a pitiful attempt at protecting you from “them”, or even your own pain.

Better to have good energetic boundaries, and free yourself. It will be a gift to others, as well as to yourself! Seriously.
Start with just one strong resistance that pops up today. Notice the strong energy blockage, and where you went unconsciously. Just breathe, and say hello to your body for a moment, breathe through any stress, or tension, and then, go into neutral.
you can just allow that strong judgement to still be there (don’t resist the resistance, lol!). Notice it, look at it, be curious. Back up from it, gently, slowly, and just be with it for a second. If pain comes up, or fear, feel that, and then let it go. It is usually something you did not know was there.
You just got an answer for yourself.
Bravo!

Now, when you have discovered something about yourself, and after experiencing it,
allow this energy to either slide off of you, with gravity, all that energy, to the center of the planet to compost, or, use some method of decharging it, after you have stepped out of it.
Throw a bomb at it, and watch it obliterate (I use this method), or, perhaps see it, and imagine an eraser removing it from your space in front of you. Maybe see it being power washed with a great force of water from your energetic field. Whatever works for you. You can even use something amusing, like an animal walking by and eating it.

Whatever works. Now step back in, and just be neutral, and allow.
That whole string of uninterrupted thoughts that were attached to it, start to have less of a hold on you. Be amused.
Be amused.
Breathe. You are resetting your space.
Recalibrating.

You will find, with this work that your energy flows more smoothly. you may even be able to do the thing you were resisting, or talk to the person you were resisting.
It may take a few more tries. Remember, what you resist, persists! It will keep coming up in your life, and in your experiences, until you can make some space for yourself, and get more neutral.
And that is such a healing.
Your reality doesn’t change, but, how you view it does.

And this will free you, and greatly lighten up your energy, which is great, for you, for the people you relate to, from family, friends, pets, clients, and even nature, and the planet herself.
This does not mean take no action, but it does mean clear your space, and then see life, yourself and the world from that clearer paradigm.

Take action from that space, if indeed, any action is even needed.
Enjoy your day, try this tool, it will help you slide into a lighter, and more curious space.

Gentle blessings,

Gathering yourself up

9/8/2019

Picture
Gathering yourself up, and condensing all that energy back into your body, can be so refreshing, and healing, and give you back your focus. Where was all that life force?
Why did I do that?
This is some of the basics in good energy hygiene; good energy boundaries.

If you can imagine for a moment, that we, as whole beings, (and by that I mean spirits who have a body), are made of, let’s say, 10 cups of our own energy.
When we have 10 full cups in us, we feel complete, strong, and whole. We are on track with our goals, and just feel clear, and here, and in present time.
Imagine holding, and noticing a beautiful, fragrant, red rose, and being with it for a moment.
Imagine being present with someone else, someone you love, who is quite present as well.
Now, imagine creating something from that place, perhaps doing something you love, like playing a musical instrument, or singing, or dancing, or painting. You want to be there, to experience every drop.
You feel alive, all of it, the happy, the sad, the present, acknowledging and releasing, both the joy and the pain.
That is the best, fully living life! You can create miracles from this space.

I also think that a part of being human, is forgetting, and leaving parts of ourselves, parts of us, in different places. We do that both consciously, and unconsciously.
We leave our energy in the past, and in the future. We leave it in relationships, in our problems (and in other peoples problems), in what we resist, in our list of things to do, and, in our commute home. We leave bits of our energy in our jewelry, our favorite chair, and in the things we are creating.
No wonder we find ourselves spacey, or tired easily!
We may leave ourselves in the ones we love, our partners, kids, friends, co-workers, or clients, and that may be an ingrained habit, as if we can help them by being in their space. Really, we can’t, as they can’t use our energy as fuel, and it won’t solve their problems, or get them to like us more.

You may find yourself getting enmeshed in the emotions of others. Giving ourselves to others may be an ingrained habit, or belief, that that’s how we give to others. Many believe that not doing it means we are selfish. It’s far from the truth, though. When we give away our energy habitually, we end up exhausted, drained, disconnected from our bodies, and our own lives. We’ll feel more energized when we gather our own energy, back into our bodies, and we can support others from that place, of wholeness and integrity.
Better to have good energy boundaries.
Some people like that burst of another’s energy, but most cannot use it, and it feels suffocating, and they end up resenting you, and you, them.
A tablespoon here, a half-cup there, and soon your 10 cups of your own vital life force, is waning.
You’ll end up grouchy, spaced out, and ungrounded, and other opportunistic energies may start to flutter their way into your almost emptied shell.

I use a tool to pull my energy back into myself, without judging where it was, and replenishing myself with it. I learned it many years ago, from the Berkeley Psychic Institute, and it is an energetic staple for me. I use it quite a few times a day. It feels great, and I get to learn a lot about myself, and my habits, my energy leaks, and about people who take my energy.
It’s really not about them, so no judging them. It’s about your own energy hygiene.
In a way, energetically, it will teach you a lot!
You can also use your breath to imagine your energy coming back into you.
Intent, and imagination are very powerful here.

Picture
You can imagine a golden ball, like a sun above your head.  (I see the place about 8 inches above my head; my eighth chakra, an out of the body chakra). While being in your body, with your awareness right behind your eyes, imagine that you are calling back your energy from the last day or so. Command it back, but not in any way in effort about it. Just call it back, and allow it to start filling back up, nice and slow, and steady, like a golden liquid. That liquid is you. It comes back from all the places you have left it.

You could know where it is coming back from, or maybe not, perhaps just allow it back, with no judgement on anyones part, and allow it to fill to overflowing.
Give that ball of your own energy a hello, and with your intention, drop it down into the top of your head, and let it all slide down, all through your space, your body, your bones, and muscles, everything.

Just allow it to fill up and expand, into all your cells, and the space in-between your cells. You can also let some of it go down your grounding cord as well.
Its your energy. It has intelligence. Let it go where it needs to go…perhaps a chakra, and injury, or a place you feel particularly depleted.

There are so many ways to do this, but I find this method to be the best. Especially after a long meditation where I am releasing foreign energy from my body, my chakra, and my energetic field.

Maybe just fill up the place that I reside, right behind my eyes.
Being whole, with your awareness in the center of your head, or your heart, with good boundaries, is such an incredibly powerful place to be, and from that place, you can give to others in a clean way, in a sacred way. From being whole, and feeling complete.

Not depleted, or entangled.

I also teach people to bring their energy back into their own space by using their breath.
Slow breath in, and gather your energy back.
Slow breath out, and bring it down into the body, filling you up completely.
I might do this 4 or 5 times.
For beginners, or, after a powerful session, you can always bend over, head to knees, and hands on the floor, and release any extra, down into the earth.
For some people, that might be too much at one time.

I also use this amazing tool throughout the day, not just after a long clean out meditation, or energy work session.
After a client, after a group call (I ask everyone to pull their energy out of the bubble of sacred space we co-created, and out of each other, and we complete the space, end it, destroy the bubble, and fill ourselves up with fresh, new energy. We leave the sometimes hour and a half session autonomous, refreshed, energized.
I use it after a long day, where everyone climbed into my space, including my cat, and people on Facebook.
I pull my energy out of the past, so I can truly be in present time. This works for contracts, old agreements, past trauma, or, simply, that old, comfortable overstuffed chair that I sat in for years. Or, a place I used to live.
Some people are in the future. They have so much going on, that they are already energetically at the vacation they will be arriving at in a few days.
so, who is driving the car now?
Other places you can leave your energy:
Your list of things to do.
Your bank account.
Your constant commute to work.
Your significant other. (They will thank you for the new roomy space they get to have!)
The scary thing that you need to do, that you are resisting. (Resisting zaps your energy. Neutrality does not)
Politics.
Your clients.
Your amazing artwork/song/sculpture/book you are writing.

Bringing your energy back to you, in present time, bright and glowing! You can just delight in this newfound feeling of calm strength, clarity, and groundedness . Or, you may want to use it to create more wonderful things, and discover, play, and heal yourself!

Breathe, and be fully back in your body, happily healing, aware, and alive. You can most certainly bend over, and dump out any excess, if you are not used to this much energy at first. Remember to put up some nice, light protections around the edge of your aura, and perhaps crate a brand new grounding cord for yourself.

Enjoy your new space, and your day! If you liked this new tool for your spirit toolbox, please give it a 'like" on Facebook, below, or share it, for a friend.
Gentle blessings,

Being your True Self

Being your True Self.
You are a being of light, and you have this beautiful body.
We forget that, when we are having problems, or when life gets tough.
Getting back to the core of who you are, though, changes everything.
Being in fear, or matching the anger, or rage, or fear, around you, can seduce you into forgetting. We can experience fear, for example, but we are not that.
We can easily spin out, in our thinking, or feeling, too much, and our programming can come in (maybe trying to help). It doesn’t always. Most times it makes it worse.

Doing what you love, or, doing things with great love is one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself. It keeps you in your body, and in the present moment. It can shift how you see the world.
The difference of when you are coming from a place of core love, rather than fear, (besides that it makes you feel good) is that your brain is mostly operating from your subconscious mind, when you are acting from fear. Everything contracts, and your brain uses the information stored in its memory banks. That can include the scary movie you watched last night about zombies, or a glimpse of a past life happening, that you are afraid may happen again. Since it seems like too much to fathom for you, your brain pushes it down into your subconscious mind. Or you make decisions about it from your shadow side. There is a lot of power that gets left there, and your shadow has a lot to tell you about those fears. It can be an amazing thing to do that shadow work for yourself. It can release so much energy, and you will realize that it is a part of you, and not your enemy, or something to be afraid of, or pushed down, or submerged. It is a part of you. As you have more knowledge, and are more aware of it, it doesn’t need to emerge suddenly and act out, because it has no voice. Sometimes there is rage there, sometimes there is great fear. Or shame. Sometimes there is collective shame, or rage. Or fear.
Of course, there is always that collective love, that 5th dimensional frequency, to tap into.
It doesn’t make all your problems go away, but perhaps changes the paradigm.
It can become challenges, rather than problems.
When you are in love, when you fall in love, there is a shift. You go from the mindset of your fears, to just being. Just being, and experiencing. Experiencing the present moment. Experiencing the present moment without contracting, without shrinking. You just are, and that you is in an expanded state.
Being in that place is so incredibly healing for your body, for your being. You start to vibrate differently.
That place of love, of being in love.
You don’t need it to be another person, although it can be all people.
It can be the love you have playing a musical instrument. Or when you are doing what you love, which can be gardening. Smelling the rich earth in your hands, and seeing the fruits of your labor. Being close to nature is like witnessing continuous miracles!
It can be teaching, it can be exploring, it can be healing. Perhaps you are a healer. It can be caring for someone you love, just the simple tasks.
When you are in the “sweet spot”, you are in the present moment, and your spirit is there, in you.
And that is such a healing place. For you, and also, for us all, for community. It keeps you from running a subconscious program of fear. When you exude that energy, it can amp up your fight or flight responses, and have you acting out of a conditioned response, of “me vs. them”, one that is not in integrity with who you are, in the present moment.
Who you are in the present moment, is a spirit in a body, with choice, and in community.
We are beings of love, and of light.
We are so much light, and so much love, and are powerful beyond belief.
But we forget.
We can’t experience all that, and yet come from that smaller self, of fear, of survival, of limiting beliefs.
That’s why I connect with my “true self” (a being of love, and of light, and infinite patience, and compassion) before I do the shamanic work I do in Compassionate Depossession, or in curse unraveling, or dealing with nasty beings or energy that is stuck in a state of rage, or pain, or revenge. Or just stuck in fear.
And it works.
There is NO WAY, that I could do the work that I do, without that tool.
I was taught to use that tool by Betsy Bergstrom, one of my shamanic teachers.
It is a tool that will help you in your life in ordinary reality as well.
It doesn’t mean that life won’t be filled with harsh things, or obstacles, or problems. You may wish to see them as challenges. Opportunities.
But, coming from that place, that place of love, of the present moment, just gives you so many options, of how to act, or what to do.
Plus, you will be right inside your body, mingled with spirit, coming from your wisdom, coming from ease, vibrating as that.
And that is a nice place to solve things. And that’s where you can ask for help, too. Remember, this is a place of community.

In a meditation, or in a journey, go to a beautiful place in nature, where you feel safe. Perhaps your favorite place, and imagine in front of you, an incredible being of light, just being there. Filled with love, and bursting with light. A being of never ending compassion, of grace. A powerful being, of such a high vibration. Loved, and loving.
This being is your true self. This is who you really are.
Notice everything about this glowing, light filled form, and feel your heart resonating now, and expanding. Feel the love that is there.
Allow it to expand even more, as you walk into, this being of light. Merge with
it fully, filling every cell of your being. Even the space in between your cells, are filling up, with this expansive energy.
Just be. Be that. Know it.
You are a being of love.
You are a being of light.
You cannot be harmed, by the energies of others.
And you can heal, just by being.
Just allow for the expansion, as you settle in. Breathe deeply. Just be.

It is now time to come back, to ordinary, waking reality, with this new sense of you.
Come fully back, into the room, and into your body, and take a few deep breaths.

I hope you enjoy, this new expansive sense of self, and you can call upon it any time you forget. Perhaps create a symbol of it for yourself, so that you can easily remember.
When you need to handle fearful things, or people, beings, or energies in your life, and you come from this place, of love, and gratitude, everything shifts, the universe helps you, and you have many more choices in your actions.
Coming from this place, when you are in your day to day life, can also change the world, just by you being, and exuding, your true self.
Enjoy your day, in gentle blessings, and grace.
I honor that place in you.

Helena

Bring your relationship to Source into present time

Last month I taught a class on Manifesting and Miracles; it’s a revolving class, and I wanted to share the meditation I do with them. It is also a powerful shamanic journey, but since there was a mixed group, it became a meditation. I usually do it before teaching the techniques of manifesting.
Please enjoy.

Be behind your eyes, in that room in the center of your head.
And breathe.

Now, sink down into your heart space. Feel that.

Settle inside, relax, and close your eyes.

Go to your favorite spot in nature, whether it is a forest, a stream, the desert, or standing on the beach of the ocean. Say hello to your concept of God/Goddess/Source, whether it is a being in human form, or a ball of light, etc. Whatever shows up is ok, it could be the God you remembered in grade school, or growing up.

Just notice, and feel, and sense, this energy, right out in front of you.

Remember a time in your life, where you became angry with God.
Perhaps you prayed for something, and it did not happen. Perhaps it was a parent, or friend, or relative that died.
Perhaps you had some traumatic event, which you felt you did not deserve. Perhaps you saw injustice in front of you, and you could not believe that God would do something like that. Or, not do anything.
Just let this anger come up.
Perhaps there is sadness, or grief, too.
Just be present, to what comes up.
And breathe.
Is this where you turned away?

Can you forgive? Is there an answer, to understanding why? Perhaps there is not. Just let the anger out, just be heard, and now, let it go.
Be heard. Say everything.

Ask this being, this Source energy, for a healing, now.
Clean out the pipes of communication.
Feel the part of you that is God/Goddess/Source energy.
Sense the oneness.
Bring your relationship with Source into present time.
Just breathe.
Take your time.
When you are ready, in this meditation, in your beautiful place in nature, take one step, then two, then three, and step into the place where you see source energy, and merge with Source.
What do you feel?
What do you see?
Bring your relationship with the Supreme Being into present time, now. You are a part of Source.
Perhaps you see an image of this present time relationship. Look at it very carefully.
Perhaps it is not an image, but a sound, or, just a sensation.
You are a part of this Source energy. This is your true self.

You are whole.
You are well.
You can create.
You can co-create,
with source.
Remember this feeling, and this image, or sensation, as we end this meditation now.

Experience again, your favorite place in nature, just breathe it all in.

Breathe, and feel your body, feel the chair you are sitting on, wiggle your toes, stretch a bit, say hello to that beautiful body of yours,
and when you are ready, be fully in the room, and open your eyes.

I just love what I felt, and what I saw as the students opened their eyes, and then looked at each other. The whole room seemed transformed, and exquisitely light. Luminous. Everyone’s eyes had that same light, and, almost, a bit of impish joy!
After stretching a bit, and telling their stories, we proceeded to creation tools.

What a blessings to watch them create, from that place. It is a place of right relationship, with yourself, and with Source.

The story of the Light Being

5/6/2019

Picture
I remember working as a house painter, and I was painting a few rooms in a nice house of a man in Berkeley. He was a kind man, and was gone the whole week, and let me play all of his great World Music, while I painted his bedroom, hallway, and living room. He had recently broken up with his long time girlfriend (amicably), and just wanted to “re-own” his house, by painting it more neutral colors, and moving some of the furniture around.

How nice for me, to simply enjoy painting at my pace, with amazing music, in a beautiful home.
At that point in life I was a psychic, and I think I worked with some Angels, and Ascended Masters, but had not gotten into Ascension, or Shamanism yet. These three modalities are now the cornerstone of my practice.

So, as I am standing on a ladder, listening to Salif Kieta, or something else just as amazing, and painting the peachy loveliness of a living room into a cool, thoughtful, muted blue, I kept seeing something darting around quickly, around the house. I could see a flash of light, going from one set of French doors, to the big bay window, around the outside of the house. At first I was startled, but then did not feel afraid. It had the shape of a human (a bit of a blur), but seemed much smaller, perhaps 3 or 4ft high. I couldn’t tell if it was watching me intently, from outside, as if I was somehow in it’s way, or, if it had nothing to do with me, so I kept on painting.

This happened every day that I was there. Other than that, I got my work done, and enjoyed being there.
Finishing up after a few days, washing out my brushes, and pulling up paper, tape, etc, I saw the being again, and for a moment, there was this ”Hello”, a simple acknowledgement from spirit, to spirit.

I came back a few days later, while the owner was there, to get paid, and give back the keys.
He told me that his (now) ex girlfriend was a practicing shaman, and also the owner of a small jewelry business, selling earrings and pendants of a Goddess nature, of a pagan nature. Beautiful work.
He said that everywhere he turned, there was another altar. That any 2 or 3 items on a table, or counter, started to look like a sacred altar.
I had to laugh, as I am guilty of the same. Rocks, moss, and a goddess looking piece of a twisted stick come out of my jeans pocket daily; just add a candle, or bowl of water, and “Voila!”.
Once he started opening up, so did I, and he mentioned that there were many drumming ceremonies there, and the place had become quite magical. We both laughed, and shared, and he told me that he just wanted to reclaim his home, and fill it with his own energy, and own it for himself.

I wish I could’ve had a conversation with the being; either to tell it that its friend had moved, or to hook it up to it’s next step, as it did look a bit lost.
But I did not know the things I know now, and did not have the tools I have now.
Just paintbrushes, ladders, and the ability to give a spirit a neutral “Hello, I see you”.

In my shamanic practice now I journey to the different worlds of non ordinary reality daily, and I also have a practice of transfiguration.
That is where you radiate pure light as spirit, and you just are.
It is an amazing practice, and quite healing, to yourself, to other sentient beings, including the earth herself. Just by being light.
Radiating light.
In Ascension, you do the same thing, filling your cells, and the space between them, with dazzling light. You do this, even before you use the Violet Flame, which is a powerful transmuting vibration of love and forgiveness.
After doing these practices, I do feel lighter, and also feel as if I am glowing, on some level.

Let’s go back to the being darting around at the house. It could have been a Star Being, a being not from here, brought to the house by the shamanic work, or by one of it’s participants, or, it could’ve been the radiant astral body of his ex-girlfriend, or one of her power animals, or spirit helpers.

What made me think of that story, was a mention in a Facebook group by a another shamanic practitioner. A question was asked, “What do you look like as you journey? What do you appear like?” Many people said they seemed healthier, or stronger, or wore a certain type of ceremonial clothing. The one woman said she wore clothing, but then “zipped it off” and with it her skin outfit, and was just light. Like "a glow worm with arms and legs".
I found this thought provoking, and evocative, as I sometimes do the same thing. Especially as I transfigure, or radiate light.
And that is, what I think I saw, as I was painting some man’s living room, so many years ago.

Picture
It made me smile, to remember this story, and there are so many stories like these in our lives. We know so much more now, then we did before, about spirit. Fear is replaced by neutrality, by our tools, and even by our compassion. This being had nothing whatsoever to do with me. It made me like the ex girlfriend even more, and made me smile at the boyfriend, as he had to deal with all the goddess altars, and light beings running around his house. I'm glad he reclaimed it for himself. It really was a beautiful home.
Perhaps this story could also be called, "The magic of a new coat of paint to reclaim your home".
Many blessings on your day,
Helena

Adventure and Healing on the Astral Plane

3/30/2019

Picture

Remember the phrase, "If you don't dream your own dreams, you may end up in someone else's dreams"? Well, I think that holds true for your goals, passions, and dreams for your life, and, also, for where you go when you fall asleep.
Many people just fall asleep, and aren't aware of the richness, and the
opportunity of that time.

We need to rest, we need to let everything go, and de stress, and we need to allow our bodies to heal themselves. And they do that quite nicely. In the deepest stages of sleep, our injuries get healed, our inner organs rest, and rejuvenate, and even our brain looks at all the stuff we thought during the day, and decides what to file in long term storage, and what to delete.
Also, our spirits leave our bodies (usually) and go have adventures.
And, how conscious we are to that choice, and sovereignty, is the key to a healing, fun, or learning time, or, a depleting time, that keeps us feeling that we didn't rest at all.
We do so many things, on the astral plane, which is what we call the place we go to when we fall asleep, and leave our bodies. We may have dreams that we remember, but that is just a small part of what we do. Where do we go?

Well, the important thing to remember, is that we have choice. We are spirit, and we have these bodies. It's not the other way around. We are amazing capable beings, and it it usually our intention that gets us there, doing what we wish to do.
We leave our bodies frequently throughout the day, not just when we are sleeping. We daydream, we imagine things in the future, we reminisce about the past. Some people live with one foot in the past, and one in present time.
Sometimes a strong energetic whack, or a strong emotion, will kick us out for a while. A physical jolt or trauma can too! It may take a little while to get us back in again, grounded, and fully in our bodies. It's another reason why we want to have good energetic protections around our bodies, around our aura.
When going to sleep at night, it is helpful to put good protections around your body, because you will be leaving for a while. You may also wish to put protections around your "astral body" as well. Imagine your astral body, as a simple form that looks like you, and you are connected to your body with a silver cord of energy.

Your spirit usually leaves your body our of your third chakra (where that cord is plugged in). It can come back in through that same location. Sometimes, your spirit can leave, or, come back in through the top of your head, your crown, or 7th chakra. We were taught to come back in at the 3rd chakra at Clairvoyant school, as it helps to bring back much of the information of where you went while out.
Now, besides good, simple protections, the next thing you may wish to do is to decide where it is you wish to go, and what you wish to do there.
It is like getting in your car and driving. You usually have a plan. That really helps, even if it is just to go for a lovely drive on a country road, and enjoy yourself.
Your intention is important. You may wish to decide before you go to sleep, and "set the energy" of how you wish it to be. Do you want to have a fun time visiting with friends? Do you want to figure out the solution of some complicated problem you have? Find lost items? Help someone? Do you want to heal yourself? Ask for healing? Perhaps, you go and teach a class on the astral plane, or perhaps, you take one!

That leads me to an important issue. Where are you hanging out, when you leave your body? We can get into bad habits there, or go to the same, familiar places, not realizing the richness, the high energy, and the amazing experiences you are missing.
I liken it to going into a city. You have your intellectually stimulating universities, and you also have your healing communities, your angelic realms, your creative realms, rich, fulfilling places. You can heal yourself, or listen to amazing music, meet and communicate with people you love, or explore places you've never been. You may wake up feeling amazing, refreshed, healed, or, happy that you got some answers, figured out something for yourself, or learned something, or, were of service. You can create here!
And, you also have the lower realms of the astral, with it's ghosts, vampiric entities, it's seedy bars and heavy vibration.
That's the place you have nightmares, or wake up feeling exhausted, or fuzzy, or like you picked up something weird.

This is why you want to set the space, and decide beforehand, and protect yourself, before you go. Remember, your intention is powerful. Your spirit is capable, and powerful.
What are you creating out there, and what would you like to be creating?
Picture
There is something called lucid dreaming, where you can be a conscious participant in your dreams. It just takes practice. You can re enter a dream you just had, and change the outcome of it. You can have conversations with the various people in your dream, even aspects of yourself. You can learn enormous amounts, access higher guidance. You can heal yourself profoundly, and discover parts of yourself you did not know existed.

DREAMING as MEDICINE.

You can bring back your vital life force from places you've left it, and see where it was lodged.
You can enter your dreams, and dream new outcomes, and create new paths. You can understand some of the more negative emotions going on within, and what wisdom they have for you. You can even reframe those emotions, and turn them into powerful allies.
You can meet with various parts of yourself: the wiser older you, the younger, childlike curious, magical self, or the one that needs protection, or healing.

Robert Moss is a shaman, and author of many books on the subject of lucid deaming, and I highly recommend his work, if you are interested in this way of self healing. He is the author of "Active Dreaming", a synthesis of modern dreamwork, and shamanism.

Other things you can do on the astral realm, can be quite practical! You can learn to play a musical instrument. You can go to a library, and study up on something. If you were reading or studying in real time, for example, and left the book open, and your intention clear, you could let your body rest, and just continue studying.
You could connect with a friend, a coworker, for example, and go have a coffee, or a beer, and spend time. Perhaps, in real time, you both disagree on something, and communication is hard. On the astral, you can climb out of your ego's, and just be spirit, having a discussion.
You could create a play! You could find that lost earring. You could travel and explore the vacation destinations you have been thinking of, before making your decision! And, how interesting, later, upon arrival, that that mountain, or that perfect little coffee shop you found yourself in, seems so...very...familiar!
and why not send yourself on ahead? We probably do that anyway, in our daydreams.

So, there is the practical. There is the self growth, and the amazing things you can learn. There is the healing work, and the healing that you can have. There is also, the possibility of giving service.
Yes, just like you would in the waking world, to help others, you can so easily do that on the astral plane. You could work in a healing center. You could work on healing the planet. You could help a lost dog (or a lost human) find his way home.
Many of my healer friends, myself included, do that. You may wish to be a helper for a while, and then go on to other things.

When I was taking a Clairvoyant intensive training, our class would all meet the evening before, on the astral. We would go to the higher levels of the astral plane, and all meet, by, let's say, the big oak tree.
Most times, I remembered only snippets of what occurred. Many times what we learned the next day in class seemed very familiar. I would remember all the faces of people. Our group agreement was to have light energy, and heal ourselves, and study well.

Now, every morning, as I am waking up, I stay a little longer, and look at my energetic field. I assess what is working, and what needs to be kicked out. I spend time setting the energy of my day, setting my intentions, talk with my guides, and angels, (my crew), and perhaps heal my body. I let go of any cords or energies from the astral plane, from my adventures there, and bring in the information gleaned there. I release the old protections, and grounding, and put up new, present time tools.  Feeling amazing, I wake up, feed the cat, make my coffee, and go about my light filled day.
Whatever you decide to do, I hope you enjoy your astral time, as your body rests and heals itself! Your intention, and setting space, is the key!

Spiritual Competition vs Cooperation

3/5/2019

Some ways of shifting out of comparison and spiritual competition, so you can just breathe, do your best, and enjoy the ride.
This is about the ugliness of spiritual competition. It is about recognizing it in others, and in ourselves, on the road to being a better spiritual, enlightened, on your path, higher self abiding, shamanic practicing, yoga teaching, chakra balancing, perfect healthy diet, accelerated ascension light bodied, book writing, workshop giving, you.
I think that this place we find ourselves, of being on a spiritual path, is a perfect opportunity to find balance. That place, in our breathing, in-between the inbreath, and the exhale, the sweet spot, of your focus, and consciousness. That place of just be-ing, of allowing, what is.
We, everyone of us, have, and feel competition, it’s a part of being human, a part of being alive. It can help us to be our best, push just that little bit harder. And how fun, doing your best, in a game, to see your comrades, or, your opponents, on either side of you, in a fun race, or test of skills. Knowing it is a game, but enjoying the fun of it all.
But competition can also have a very ugly side, or, I should say, the ugly side of competition, whether aimed at another, or at oneself, is caustic, is toxic, and kills the roots of the tree you are nourishing.
The competition can come from a friend, or colleague, a clique or group, or cult, or from your client. It can even come from an entity that is living inside of your client. I have done readings, or healings, with a client that has a spirit in competition with me.
I have also seen people in competition with themselves. Now that is some nasty energy. Hard to love and accept yourself, when you are never good enough, for yourself, ever. It erodes a person, like battery acid, it erodes their sense of self worth, and squeezes out any joy, or curiosity, that may be in there.

You can admire someone else’s beauty, their growth, their skills, and accomplishments, without questioning your own.
Comparing yourself to others is an act of sabotage, sometimes a violent act, especially when you are just starting, or feel hindered, or off track.
And, yet, competition is in almost all of nature, and, we are also nature.
Just look at what animal species do to get a mate. Or, all the fighting, simply to get the proposed mate’s attention!

What I am not saying, is that if you are feeling that you simply have to be the best, or, that you are not as “up to speed as you should be” that you are bad, and have to squelch it, hide it, push it down.
Pushing it down, trying to submerge it, will just give it to your shadow side, where it still lives, but comes out at odd times, or, comes out overblown, or toxic.
Neither should you dislike the friend who is trying too hard to be her best, and always has that obnoxious “Well, I had 6 client sessions today, I just can’t keep up anymore”, when you told her how happy you were for your 2 session day. Their website is spectacular, while yours is just starting out.
He/She is on her own path, and her own process. Just notice, and say hello to your compassion. Or, sometimes, just notice, and say hello to your levity. Comparison, competition, especially competition, hates humor.
The whole thing is ironic, if you think about it.
Maybe just ask her for help, or tips, on your website.

It’s good to try not taking yourself so seriously, in those instances. Or, the person you see entangled in it.
There is so much to learn about yourself, when this judgment, and jealousy, and comparison shows up. You can learn so much about your own journey, especially when you are having a slow month of clients, or readings, and someone else out there is having a stellar month.
Or, that person won’t stop posting on Facebook, all the amazing information downloads, or just won’t shut up about their amazing healing session with Archangel Metatron, or how their method, product, workshop is just the best, and you just feel ok, or possibly (now),stagnant. Even their brightness on social media makes you question your own, or judge them.
Most people are just living their lives, trying their best, and have no intention of making you feel less than.
Although, there are some, that just love to play the competition game. Perhaps it’s how they learned to survive childhood with many siblings. Perhaps there is an energy, or an entity, inside of them that loves competition, and feeds off the energy. You may notice a third chakra twang energy, or cord of energy when around these people. It helps here to be amused. That is not your friend, so don’t engage, just look past it, or through it, to your friend, or colleagues spirit, and say hello.

Picture
There are a few concrete things that you can do, when you find yourself in this stinky alleyway.
Don’t react to outspiriting (outdoing, better than comparison) with more outspiriting. Whether it’s aimed at you, or all “angel Card readers”, white Shamanic practitioners, etc.
Maybe, just don’t react. It may have absolutely nothing to do with you.
When they go low, you go high. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a good old bitching session (respectfully, privately). Sometimes turning the drama dial full tilt, and acting it out can be simply hilarious, and quite refreshing, healing, as it settles, and finds it’s rightful place in the world of what really matters.
Speaking your truth, no matter what. Sometimes, not speaking at all is a bigger healing. If you are speaking it again, and again, though, perhaps, you are not feeling heard, or perhaps, it’s time to shift your focus, or your group. You shouldn’t need to be in effort, to speak your truth.

You don’t need to get along with everybody, all the time. In your spiritual journey, you can absolutely “snooze” that person in your social media for a while, take a break, or learn what lights you up. The act of becoming neutral to some of these things, even finding the whole thing funny, can be a blessing, and a protection in itself.
And, remember, many people turn on the competition full blast from a need of protection, as they have a picture inside of not being good enough. They are comparing themselves to someone else, which, again, you should not take personally. And, some people can be jerks sometimes, but even jerks can teach you great things, about yourself, about what you want, and what you don’t want. About who you are, and how you want to show up.
Some people, in groups, really enjoy one upping their spiritual gifts, or knowledge, or social circles. They enjoy it. Perhaps it is ok to take a break from them, if it doesn’t feel right, or you are not in right relationship with it. Keep checking in with yourself.
Getting lit up about someone’s smugness, or greatness, can teach you so much about your own needs, wants, and desires. Maybe you are irritated about the yoga bunny, because your own exercise or body loving and self-care space has been put on hold.
Let it be a teaching moment for you, look at that, and then, remember to let it go, with a “Namaste”, for helping me be clearer in my own space. Or, a “Nah, I’mma stay” here, in my comfort zone, a bit longer. Or, Nah, I’mma stay right on my path, I like the pace I am taking. You go, girl.
Maybe you can't do 4 classes a day, or can't afford someone to create your website for you, or can't travel to teach, like they do, etc.
Or, maybe you are lit up, because you really do want that. Hmmmm....

Keep your energy high. Continue to give your gifts. Your gifts are unique. Others need you, and your knowledge, your art, your smile. Continue to give; to hand out tools, and freebies. Continue working on your craft, diligently, asking for help along the way. Keep going, keep going. The wise you knows. Just listen, and follow.
Continue to talk about your work, even if others are much farther along than you. It is where it is. You are a work in process. We all are.

Forgive. Forgive the smug ones for you do not really know what is underneath. Forgive yourself for being smug, for forgetting, that this is just a long, and beautiful process, and we all will get there, our own way. Stop taking yourself so seriously! You won’t get out of this alive.
I keep seeing my own process as one that shifts from active and pursuing, to passive, and receiving. I notice that my level of clients rises and falls like the ever-present tide. I am in a space of accelerated growth, sometimes unpleasant, but always welcome, and then times where the sun is shining, and doors all seem to open for me. Most of my work is slowly tinkering away, like the Virgo that I am, and I need to back away at times, and see what it is that I have actually accomplished. I do need the occasional compliment or accolade; it keeps me nourished on my path.
And, most importantly, I have grown through both hardships, challenges that seemed like they would never end, ones I thought would break me, but just made me stronger. I have learned patience, and also not to compare, because, everyone is fighting a battle you may not see, or know about. We are all just walking each other home again.
Some of my lessons have come though joy, though gifts, through goddess given talents. It is not always hard, or, a struggle, to get there.
How are you creating your spiritual growth?
Sometimes, it helps to just take a break. Take off your spiritual coat and hat, and just be. If you can lighten up and allow it to come to you, like a wild bird, to the food you have provided, you can get out of effort, and be pleasantly surprised, awed, and filled with joy.

If you are living out of your lower chakra, then survival, having enough, and having power, are the bottom line, and that's how you will perceive the world. Competition and scare-city become wealth, and cooperation as you move into the heart. Then, you see the world, and, the world sees you, differently.

There is always more than enough to go around. What you can share with others, will always come back to you. It is truly a gift, for us all. And as you help someone else grow, as you give a hand up, we all grow, including yourself, by proxy. Thank you, in advance, for that.

Please give a "like", or share, if you found this somehow useful. Thanks!

Influencing vs Adapting

I love the place where the shamanism I am practicing, and the psychic skills I use, intersect. And where they do, they do so in a most elelegant dance. One of my teachers, Sandra Ingerman, says that shamans are gardeners of energy.
It makes perfect sense as a gardener in real time, with patience, and a knowingness, and being one part in the web of life, you have an influence in the world.
With your psychic skills, you do that too, as you work with the energies in and around you; the definition of the word "psyche" means of the soul.
We learn to "set" the energy of a room, or, of an evening, a task, or a creation. We learn both to adapt neutrally, and also, to influence, also, neutrally.
The ability to choose, is energetic freedom. Here's an example.

It's wonderful and refreshing, when you are in a room with people, and it has become a bit boring, or stuffy, or tense, and then someone walks in, whistling, or laughing, or dancing; and fills the room with levity for a moment, and then, everyone looks up.
Perhaps they all look up from their phones, for example, where they were just aimlessly killing time, or avoiding being in the room. The person walking in didn't notice the stale, or boring funk in the room, or, just didn't care. Perhaps they were inspired, or just heard good news, or, like a child, just be-ing, a natural, energetic float level of joy.
So here is this room of people, and the energy has found itself set at bland, or bored, and then there is a shift, or change. You have a choice now, to change, to adapt, or to stay the same. It is as if an invisible invitation is sent to you, to lighten up, if you want.
So, in this room of, let's say 6 people, one or two decide to stay the same, and go back to their phone apps, or avoid eye contact. Some, let's say one or two, decide to laugh, with the other, or to lighten up. there is now, a visible shift of energy. Something's different, and for some reason, the act of choosing how you set your space, seems a bit more pliable..
Because we are humans, because we are a social species, we are used to adapting. There is a flow.
There will also be the one, or two, who wish to stay the same. Perhaps they set the energy of the room at serious, or distant. They will either ignore the change, or resist the new change, and be "in resistance", (which is it's own energy signature. It's not very fun, and uses up a lot of your life force. It makes your space rigid, to keep that stance up, and the energy doesn't flow so well).

One of the basic tools in a good psychic skills course, is neutrality; being neutral to the energies in you, and around you.

We get charged up energetically to things all day long. Some things are perfectly valid, and keep you alive, sane, and healthy.
And some things just control you, if you over-feel things, or, if the outside worlds doings resonate with some emotionally charged picture in your space, from the past. Or, a very lodged, stuck belief, either yours, or someone elses, keeping you from being neutral, and just being an energy gardener.
Working the energy of the charged pictures can mean imagining putting them in a mental image picture of a rose, and then, simply destroying that rose; it will undo a few layers of stuck, past emotions, like layers of an onion, or, like many layers of paint on a piece of furniture, or a wall. Blow it up, again, and again. Or, make up a different version...melt them down, etc. I do love to explode them though! After a while, I can really feel the difference, as I become more neutral, and I have more room for me.
Working those charged up pictures that live in your space, working the energy of them, releasing all those layers of stuff, whether yours, or another, is a lifelong, and very worthwhile task, and will change you, enlighten you, and give you incredible freedom.
Freedom to choose how you wish to vibrate.
The freedom of choice.
The energy of neutrality, is a gift you give yourself.

It's not that you don't ever feel something strongly, or, that you don't allow yourself to feel the heights, and the lows of human joy, longing, pain, anger, grief, inspiration, etc. It is the freedom to choose.

And that brings us to our crowns, on the top of our head. We use this center to create from, in who we wish to be. Our ownership of our space.
The difference between having boredom, and being boredom.
So let's look at this room of people again, and let's be gardeners of energy.
If you were in the room of flat, boring, energy, (let's imagine it as a dark grey), and you wanted to change it. Did you just want to change it for your self? Perhaps it is ok to let the distant people stay distant. You could, acknowledge what is, and just let it be for a moment. Be neutral to it.
And then, using your crown chakra, become something different. Perhaps, to be joyous, or enthused, and perhaps a bit social. It's a bit like putting on a different hat. Let's use a color for our example: how about a tangerine orange color, with a hello in it?
So, just like the person who walked into the room who was happy, and social, you can change your vibration, just as you sit there, with the others.
I might create a large orange bubble in the room, filled with a simple energetic hello to the others as spirit, and psychically invite anyone else in the room to join me, if they wish.
If they wish, not forcing, or expecting. Being neutral to what is, and yet, influencing the room, with the utter simplicity of how you are running your energy. Of how you are setting your energy, for yourself.
Of how you are setting the energy of the room.
Are you grounded? Have you grounded the room separately? Giving the room a connection to the planet, set on release, of extra energy?
So, there you are, radiating orange, in a room set at dark grey. You have offered them a Hello! I see you! Want to join?*

* I am reminded of Caroline Casey, in her show, "Visionary Activism", where she discusses the hierarchy of wolves, in nature. The natural leader of a pack, even as a puppy, shows a tendency to play, and not to fight, or be aggressive. It is inclusive. That, "Woof Woof, wanna play?" energetic signature works in humans as well. Not just for play. You could do the same with the vibration of "This here is deemed sacred space, this is a ceremony", or, "This is set now as a calm vibration, very mental, how nice for studying". There is also, "This is set as a sexual, and playful space", or "This is safe space, we can be vulnerable here".

Nature shows this to us constantly, if we were to quiet ourselves enough to listen. It invites us to set space to match its majesty, it's elemental playfulness, or it's stoic reverence.
I was hiking once, and ran quickly down a rather steep hill, because I heard running water, hidden by the trees. When I arrived, loudly pushing branches aside, I was greeted by a cow, that gave me a look. I glanced around, to see that there were others there, and the feeling was somber. There was also a dead cow there, and the others were nearby. As much as I wanted to play in the newfound stream, nature was telling me that the space was set at quiet, at reverence, and perhaps I should take my happy go lucky somewhere else. They had set space differently, and I respected that, and left.

We are not apart from nature; we are nature.
So, back to the room, set at dark grey, and also, now, at orange, with a hello.
Just continue to be, and own your space at orange, while allowing the grey energy to be there as well. Some people will happily match this new vibration, a few will stay at grey. Some one may resist the change, and that's ok too.
That energy, that place, of being neutral to another who is resisting you, or your new energy, or you changing, is so important. This is your freedom, and a step to becoming who you are truly meant to be.
It may be uncomfortable, for a moment, but just breathe through it, and be neutral. Of course, at some point, they can change, and accept the new energy, or the change, but you are to be unapologetic in your emerging.
Unapologetic, neutral, setting the energy of your new space, a space of your choosing.
Nature does this all the time.
So, have fun in the room being orange, for a while, and meet some new people. You can set space for an hour, or a day, or a class, or ceremony, or only in the library.
You can change it whenever you wish. Setting space is a tool, in your toolbox.
This is also what happens when you do a house healing, for your own house, or for another.
Notice each room, and how the energy is set.
There may be other energies present, setting space, including the spirit of the land, or the building, or the occupants from years back. Notice, say hello, perhaps understand, and then re-set it, in present time.
Setting space comes in all forms. It can be a long, beautiful ceremony, with sage, and essential oils and the vibration of bells, or singing, or, just you, silently, with, or without your guides, and helpers.
It may be that you discover, that you have inadvertently set the energy of your commute to work at mentally complaining, angry thoughts, and unconsciousness, and not too much choice.
Again, notice, be neutral, say hello, and become. Influence, instead of adapt, by simply being present. Then you can re-set the energy, as you wish, without sage, or any bells and whistles. Maybe laughing at yourself can lighten the load, and help you get out of resistance, or, the old pattern you had it set at.
Even simpler, forget the steps, and transfigure, just be. Be love, be light, be golden. Others, the environment, even the nature around you will be in the path of change, of re-set, at more light.
Had I known that shamanic tool, (another tool taught to me by Sandra Ingerman) when I was at the ravine, I would've just sat on the ground, and become light, and offered it to the earth there, and the cows in mourning.
Influence, adapt, influence, adapt. Influence, adapt,
in neutrality, and in choice.
Just like nature.
I wish you a beautiful day, set at the energy of your choosing, in a room filled with the energy of something very healing, in affinity with that precious, and beautiful body of yours,
gentle blessings,
